About Me

My photo
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, now living in Cheshire, England. I started to write poetry some years ago, as a hobby. I have enjoyed that new venture very much. My preferences are for long and micro-form poetry styles. A first book of poetry ~ Reason Without Rhyme, was published in December 2013. A second book ~ Fifty Seven Pebbles, was published in September 2015...I am presently compiling the content for my third book. Thank you for visiting my Blog... Poetic Parlance....

Some fitting words have only been revealed,
Laying out that a fresh new blog has emerged.
Unhindered hopefully from cheating chicanery,
Or desire to tamper with the thoughts of another.
Cunningly spiriting away without request or favour,
Poetic compositions attributed to a specific owner.
Grasping at multitudes of notions and experiences,
Redesigning a whole new identity laid out to entice.
Trust is flaky and rests solely upon a virtual goodwill,
Bravery extends its welcome again to the honest folk.

This poem was written in response to a direct action to
Misappropriate and misuse my poems at another online site.
I intend to maintain this new Blog, in order that I can continue
To enjoy an association with Poets United and its writers who
contribute their poems and friendship from all around the world.

  1. So sorry someone would plagiarize your work Eileen, never understood someone stealing the creative work of another and claiming it as their own. How could anyone feel good about that? All the best with your new blog! This poem is heartfelt and expresses your feeling so well.

  3. oh i am sorry this happened...the net is a great place, but like all great places there are those in the shadows willing to sully it for their own gain...i am glad it did not deter you or run you away...

  4. What a tragic happening, Eileen. There seem to be always a few tricksters out there that are out there waiting to do harm to someone. Yes indeed sometimes it does seem "trust is flaky" but we are glad to see you here, Eileen. One just can't let 'them' win!

  6. Eileen, I'm sorry you had to go through this. The same feelings you get when someone robs your home...only worse because they not only steal, but then they flaunt it and act like its their own ideas. I'm glad, though, that you have decided not to let the negativity take away your creativity.

  7. Eileen, I applaud your bravery in continuing after such a horrible event. I especially love "Bravery extends its welcome again to the honest folk." Way to go, kiddo! The blogosphere would be a lonely place without you.

  11. Well said Eileen! Yes, sock it to them! You said it like it is, forthright and direct. I just can't fathom why anyone could hijack your works. It's the pride of seeing one's own. They just don't have the conscience!
I've now put your new blog address on my blog list, so that I'll be prompted immediately upon your posting! Happy blogging Ma'am, we're with you!

  12. Sorry to hear someone's messed with your words, Eileen. How creatively bankrupt does someone have to be to plagiarise another's work?

Nice to see your new blog already flourishing. :-)
