About Me

My photo
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, now living in Cheshire, England. I started to write poetry some years ago, as a hobby. I have enjoyed that new venture very much. My preferences are for long and micro-form poetry styles. A first book of poetry ~ Reason Without Rhyme, was published in December 2013. A second book ~ Fifty Seven Pebbles, was published in September 2015...I am presently compiling the content for my third book. Thank you for visiting my Blog... Revealing Eyes....

Written within the soul of the eyes,
Acceptance has an everlasting look.
Recognizable in its lingering pause,
The gift of knowing brings such love.
It embraces and caresses all else in life,
Inspiring belief and encouraging hope.
Gratitude expressed is scarcely enough,
Actions manifest themselves in daily ways.
Connections to assure the heart and mind,
Pleasures of existence silently exchanged.
Without account nor expectation in return,
Thanks reciprocated in deepest appreciation.

  1. Strong writing, Eileen. I especially like the idea of 'without account nor expectation in return.' That is the kind of giving/ gift for which we feel MOST gratitude.

  2. there is so much to be seen in the eyes...and a life that is much freer when we can live outside of those expectations....

  3. I most resonate with "acceptance has an everlasting look". I know that look. I suspect I WEAR that look. Loved this, Eileen.
