About Me

My photo
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, now living in Cheshire, England. I started to write poetry some years ago, as a hobby. I have enjoyed that new venture very much. My preferences are for long and micro-form poetry styles. A first book of poetry ~ Reason Without Rhyme, was published in December 2013. A second book ~ Fifty Seven Pebbles, was published in September 2015...I am presently compiling the content for my third book. Thank you for visiting my Blog... Designs and Desires....

Looking beyond the brand new day,
With prospects most scarily secretive.
A whole fresh new pattern to establish,
Unravelling material threads of life itself.
Dreams and optimism woven together,
Opportunities pencilled into possibilities.
Casting aside heavy grudges and angst,
Consigning inferior choices into forgettable.
Setting about with grand designs on futures,
Newness feels good and inspirational in appeal.

  1. the letting go is as important as the taking on of the new....it allows opportunity for that new to take hold...there is an inspiration to that newness....

  5. I love how each couplet lightens the load so that eachis a positive step forward, like stretching muscles on awakening or like finishing a painting and putting a new canvas on the easel. Bravo.

Absolutely Eileen! Planning ahead is somewhat most desired. Though many subscribe to it but some faltered. The idea is to bask in newness and the elation is most profound! Wonderful write!
