About Me

My photo
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, now living in Cheshire, England. I started to write poetry some years ago, as a hobby. I have enjoyed that new venture very much. My preferences are for long and micro-form poetry styles. A first book of poetry ~ Reason Without Rhyme, was published in December 2013. A second book ~ Fifty Seven Pebbles, was published in September 2015...I am presently compiling the content for my third book. Thank you for visiting my Blog... Cloudy Perspectives....

Swathes and swabs of fluffy cloud huddled together,
Clusters congregate to hang in free fall formations.
Moved onwards in a gentle hint of windy motivation,
Fifty shades of delicate grey edging resting upon a few,
Umbrellas scarcely protect from those untimely deluges.
Beyond this earthly perspective big storage takes control,
Supposedly secure while secreted in a world above all else.
Hosted and housed out of reach and far from prying eyes,
Bits and bytes seeking shelter from earths stranger dangers.
Starry eyed youth now gazes further than past observances,
Somewhere out there a cloud has our details attached to it.
Rainy days of meteorological excuses wash over the outlook,
Staying safe and sound strays far above the cotton topped sky.

Love's Own Rhythm....

There is a most likable lilt to its style,
At certain times a nervous fragility.
Sometimes tripping over one’s words,
Intent mixed with innermost thoughts.
Silences broken by background Muzak,
A simple harmony blends conversation.
Mostly unwritten without prescription,
Signals transmitted by bodily linguistics.
Seeing eyes receive and respond instantly,
Lips smile and extend an immediate liking.
Attuned to a mutuality of taste and interest,
Love’s wavelength finds its own expression.

Mood Swings....

Pendulum hands dictate the mood,
Flapping and fluttering in annoyance.
Words carry the dark and the gloomy,
Alighting like a dull and thundery sky.
A suffocating wait for the deliverance,
Love seeps into the edges and retracts.
Without an occasional angry occurrence,
Life itself might be a fair weather fallacy.
