About Me

My photo
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, now living in Cheshire, England. I started writing poetry eight years ago, as a hobby. I have enjoyed that new venture very much. My preferences are for long and micro-form poetry styles. A first book of poetry ~ Reason Without Rhyme, was published in December 2013. A second book ~ Fifty Seven Pebbles, was published in September 2015...I am presently compiling the content for my third book. Thank you for visiting my Blog which is regularly updated. Encouraging a tired spirit
Requires gentle persuasion
Especially of oneself;
To stretch beyond the cosy
Comfort of resignation and
Forming of easy habits,
Requires new mettle
From within the internal view.
Regeneration of energies and
Enthusiasm occasionally depends
Upon the urge of motivation and
Unexpected surges of inspiration.
The first instances of stepping out
Add courage to the whole perspective.

The Return....

Back to the cosy corner
Where contemplation
Most often delivers.
A time of seasonal diversions,
Relaxed routine connections.
That prolonged absence
Has now been curtailed.
Motivation from within
Urged a renewed beginning;
The time to deliver is nigh.
