Peace...

Isolation brings its own tranquillity
Much craved by some individuals
Set far away from life’s routines
It’s the very torment others hate
Some pontificate in angry tongues
Delivering hell fire and damnation
As others stomp across the world
Wearing uniforms of aggression
Terrorising those unable to resist
Diplomacy is not in their language
While this world grows more fearful
Ghosts from history seem to caution
Idle talk costs lives and steals freedom
Without peace life itself cannot thrive…

Light...

Everyday moods can be easily tainted by weather
Once night’s curtains are drawn to reveal the day
Gloomy grey clouds influence a first impression
Whilst inside candlelight casts its cosy warmth
Illuminating all corners of the living room
Shadows dance around flickers of flame
Until shards of light gradually tease my disposition
Inspiration impresses itself upon a fresh imagination
Where clusters of mysterious thoughts get together
Then dark and light merge to become glorious creations…

Placid...

Wisps of peachy pink clouds dazzle
As daytime’s sky moves into night
A gentle lull settles across the plains
Nature has its own very precise timings
Country life’s routine gradually eases
Slumber soon brings a calming quietness
Counterpanes of velvety green landscape
Blanket night’s dreams under starry twinkles…
