Sharing the Journey....



Stepping out together
With commitments and
Marriage vows as shiny
Our wedding rings.
The newness and the sparkle
There to be admired and
For others envied.
Life’s unknowns and potentials,
Reaching across a blank canvas
Yet to be infilled with experiences
And opportunities;
In time, the tapestry of richness matures
As evolving family responsibilities test
Challenges of flexibility and adaptability.
Life’s seasons of love draw onwards and
Anniversaries are collected as treasures;
Each year an affirmation of togetherness
While encouraging individual spirits,
Enhances and complements strengths
Blended and formed within the longevity
Of almost a lifetime of marriage;
A journey of memories shared along the way.

    i love the progression in this - almost witnessing the evolution, learning and effort the marriage itself requires...those wedding bands..solid and still shining by virtue of the fact perhaps that the vows spoken when placed have been honoured
