My preferences are for long and micro-form poetry styles. A first book of poetry ~ Reason Without Rhyme, was published in December 2013. Journey



Placed my feet
Upon the same
Well-trodden tracks
Didn’t stop to think
Of that familiarity
Nor to question
The daily routine
Of easy comfort-
Worn- in like
My favourite boots
Until a day of
Unexpected change
When circumstance
Threw me onto
A different path
New and unknown
My steps out of kilter
For a time
Gradually I realised
That in spite of  
Changes to my route;
I arrived at the destination
Having left new imprints
Of a journey attained.
